Abstract

|
Purpose : The purpose of this study is to design a group cognitive rehabilitation program that can be appliedto patients with schizophrenia and to verify its effects on cognitive function and occupational participation.
Method : This study was a case series study, and a group cognitive rehabilitation program was applied toparticipants diagnosed with schizophrenia, with one experimenter applying it once a week for a total of7 times, 1 hour per session. The evaluation items used were COPM, MMSE-K, ACLS, and LOTCA Ⅱ(Visual Perception, Thinking Operation).
Results : As a result of the study, it was found that it was effective not only in the participants' cognitivefunction and occupational participation, but also in attention concentration and problem-solving skills.
Conclusion : The results of this study showed that cognitive therapy based on group dynamics was effectivein improving cognitive function and occupational participation in patients with chronic schizophrenia.
